I know I haven’t blogged in quite a few days. I’ve been SO CRAZY BUSY that I just haven’t been able to get to it!
I do have some big news though! I am in the process of transitioning my website over to a new, easier format. Easier for me to update, easier for me to keep current, easier for you to browse, easier for you to find me on google, just all around EASIER!
It’s still under minor construction, and as time goes on, it will get better and better, but since you are all my regular blog readers here, I want to pass along the new URL to you!
This is my new home on the internet! Love it, save it, browse it, enjoy! I plan on keeping this blog as my personal “fitness journey,” but in terms of my business, my coaching, and all that stuff, I’ll be posting that over there. Eventually this blog will fade out, and everything will be happening over there. So come on over guys. There’s not much up yet, but I encourage you all to take a look! Leave comments, spread the word, and let me know if things aren’t working, are working, blah blah blah. :)

Just wanted to let you all know that I’ll be a little slow on blogging and website updating for the next week or so. I’m in the process of transferring servers and website layouts, and I’ll be debuting a whole new design and feel. I’ll also have my art and fitness websites combined into one big pile. Trust me, it’s going to be a lot more interesting and make more sense than it sounds like it will.
Stay tuned! Can’t wait!

First, a random thought. Every now and then I like to clean out the spam comment section on my blog. And while there are a lot of random spam links and long posts that are hardly English (you know, like insane overuse of the thesaurus…”thank you for expelling such a quality posting diary, it has assisted me greatly in my search for accomplishment. many thanks….”) every now and then there’s one in there that’s a spam attempt at an insult. I laugh every time. Like the ones that I get over and over that basically say the same thing, “your posts are whiny and annoying.” And my other favorite, “your old posts were great but the last few have been boring, COME ON!” I shortened them to give you a basic idea of the thing, but they’re long, drawn out spam posts trying to insult me. It’s funny. There were 6 of them in my spam thing today. I know it’s not relevant, but I wanted to share because it amuses me. :)
ANYWAY! Last night after work, I had a really great workout. I went in with a positive mindset and I decided, “today is the day I will stop hating Dreya Rolls!” And you know what, I did. I just did them, and didn’t think about them, and life was a lot easier. Still wasn’t too thrilled with things like “Superman Banana,” but it wasn’t all mental like it normally is…it was actually because of the tweak in my back. It’s at that stage where it’s feeling good, but if you move a certain way, it’s like “oh heyyyyy that doesn’t feel too great.” And that was the case yesterday with anything banana. Superman…not so bad. Uncomfortable, but not awful. Banana however…WHOA. So I had to lower my banana pose (and boat pose) and take it back to “super beginner” level with bent knees and lower shoulders, but it was working, and sometimes you just have to modify. It felt really great to do that workout so well. My form is getting better on everything with every workout. It’s really great to feel so accomplished and feel results as well as see them. I can’t wait for phase 3, which starts tomorrow!
Today’s workout was Yoga X. I wasn’t really in the mood to do yoga today, but I did it anyway. I was in the mood to do something a little more high energy, but I knew that my body needed the yoga and the stretch. After all, this is my recovery week. So I pushed through. With Brian still asleep and Cheese actually fairly calm for the entire 90 minutes, it was really great to be able to FOCUS. I focused on breathing, on form, on the way my body was moving and giving my body the attention it needed. Stretch out the tight muscles, work the core, just do all the things I needed to do for this workout to be the best it could be. And for once, after the full 90 minutes, I didn’t think “oh thank goodness that’s over.” I mean, 90 minutes is a long time! And as much as I really enjoy yoga most of the time these days, at the end, I still tend to think “yeah, that was a long process.” And I can’t wait to get out of my workout clothes and back to normal life. But remember how I said that I was in the mood for something a little more high energy? Well after Yoga X, I decided, “you know, I could probably do a little something else….” So I did. I put in TurboFire: Lower 20. I needed a good LEG BURN! And wow have I forgotten how intense that workout is if you’re focused and if you’re doing it after you’ve already worked your body. That lower body band…KILLER! Such a great, exhausting workout. By the end, my legs were feeling like straight JELLO! Heck yeah! It was just what I needed today.
Now I’m here, sipping on my Shakeology, and loving it. Chocolate Shakeology with chocolate soy milk and organic peanut butter….it’s absolutely DELICIOUS! Yum! If you haven’t tried that combo and you like peanut butter cups….get on it. NOW!
Speaking of “get on it,” don’t forget to come on over to my Facebook page and tell me how you’re doing, how your own progress is coming, ask questions, or just say hello! I’d love to hear from you and talk with you! http://www.facebook.com/MelissaMGoodrich
